Fashion e-commerce site Zalora Indonesia is going to celebrate its first anniversary on February 24th by holding another sales program for its customers. The Rocket Internet portfolio company used the anniversary to share some data and explains plans that include a new website interface and mobile apps.
In the past year, Zalora Indonesia has spent quite a lot of cash to generate website traffic. The online store announced that it now has an average of 150,000 daily visitors with around 1,000 to 1,500 sales made every day. The site is now offering more than 27,000 clothing and fashion items from 500 brands.
Regarding the sales program that’s going to be held this Sunday, the company promises midnight sales with a 20 percent discount on all items at specified times (Sunday 12am to 1am, and Monday 11pm to 12am). Besides that, there will be cashback vouchers with no minimum purchases, and the company will start to offer a customer loyalty program.
The fashion e-commerce company will launch a new website interface next month. Mobile applications for iPhone, Android, and Blackberry will launch between the months of April to May. Zalora Indonesia will also expand its same-day delivery service to 100 cities.
It looks like more and more e-commerce companies are starting to pay attention to the mobile commerce industry. Just this week we’ve seen two companies, Lojai and TokoBagus, launch their Android apps for mobile shopping. The whole Zalora network across Southeast Asia rolled out its mobile site earlier this month.
Zalora Philippines also held a sales event to celebrate its first anniversary earlier this month.
