Behind The Game: Inside DDR with FPGAs
Here’s a pretty sweet video from EngineeringTV - showing the use of FPGAs and how they are used to control the dance steps on Konami’s Dance Dance Revolution. Not sure about the song though - the Eurobeat version of Moonlight Shadow… The FPGA’s figure out the timing down to the microsecond of each dancer and give out the score - pretty cool stuff.
