In the late eighties/early nineties UK broadcaster Channel 4 launched a new program titled Network 7. This was pretty innovative stuff - with short features, news articles served as entertainment and random acts of stupidty served as infotainment. All in all, it was pretty much the same as Fox News, but without the BS or pretense that it was all factual.
I’m getting old. Or maybe I’m getting younger. One of the staple intakes of my life has been Wired magazine. I think I’ve been a reader since ‘93 when it launched… I remember paying a fortune to have it shipped over to the UK for years, and only when I moved to the US could I take advantage of the $4.29 special subscriber offer reserved for yankees… I digress…. I’ve been having a real hard time reading the Print edition of Wired for the past few months - ever since the new Art Director took over. First they changed the size/format of the magazine - making it smaller and more, er magaziney shaped. But then some clever ass decided to funk around with all the artwork and make it almost impossible to read.
