Rev Run in The House

Rev RunRun DMC without Jam Master Jay is like Harold Melvin without the Bluenotes, they ain’t never gonna play (apologies to Snoop D oh double G). So without further ado, I’d like to introduce you lucky listners to the Reverand Run, aka Run from RUN DMC. I picked up his new album this weekend and it’s like taking a very cool trip back to 1988, but with newer beats and some wicked samples.

Rams Amazing 2nd Half Comeback

Posted by UtahSaint on Monday October 31 @ 1:54 pm

UNM was always going to be a tough game for the rams, but no-one could’ve predicted this game. After a forgettable first half performance, where DonTrell Moore carried for over a million yards, the Rams came out in the 3rd and proceeded to show the New Mexico Lobo’s why they are in 2nd place and challenging for the MWC title. Trailing 25-12 at halftime, the rams D-# shut down the Lobos’ offense in the second half and converted three New Mexico turnovers into 17 points. Jason Smith, the new kicker, booted three of his four field goals in the second half comeback. CSU’s defense held New Mexico to minus-7 yards in the third quarter and 47 total yards in the second half…

Rams Jam Past the Cowgirls - Again

Posted by UtahSaint on Wednesday October 26 @ 10:17 pm

justin holland, QB, CSU RamsOnce again, the mighty green and gold rolled over the poor, some might say, pathetic, Wyoming Cowgirls on Saturday. Corey Bramlet, the poor excuse of a QB for the Cowgirls should have pulled on a gold jersey and shown his true colors - he was that bad… How many turnovers, fumbles and INTs can a player give out - and still keep his starting job? Guess that shows us all how poor the Cowgirls backup players are. So, the fabled bronze boot remains in it’s rightful home, the Cowgirl fans can bitch about what could have been, what should have been, and how next year, yes, next year, it will all be good in Laramie… Right on Cowgirls, keep dreaming.

Home Arcade: Better Than MAME

Posted by UtahSaint on Sunday October 23 @ 7:10 pm

Midway Stand Up Arcade CabinetI’ve been building my own arcade cabinet on and off for the last 2 years… It looks ok and runs quite a few MAME titles. It’s also used as my media server for music, movies and photos. I think it maybe about to go out the window though. Big Electronic Games(bad name, I know) have released details of their new home based arcade cabinet, complete with 14″ monitor and a handful of Midway titles (Defender, Joust, Rampage etc). Target should be selling these units in November, so I might just get treated to an early chrimbo present if they look good. I couldn’t find any details regarding the processor, monitor, inputs etc, but BEG claim the unit has A/V for Xbox, PS2, DVD etc, so it’s worth a look.

You Are Where You Live

Posted by UtahSaint on Wednesday October 19 @ 3:22 pm

Here’s a little something I noticed today, your physical appearance changes based upon where you live. What am I talking about I hear you ask. Well, a forgotten football player who goes by the name of Jonathan Woodgate (remember him Geordie boys?) has finally made a couple of appearances for the mighty Real Madrid, in the heart of sun-drenched spain. So, having moved from the somewhat dark, moody, wet and windy Newcastle (in the north-east of England for all you Americans) to the hot, sticky and some might say, more cultured capital of Spain that is Madrid, Woodgate has taken on a surreal european look. Don’t believe me, check the images below, he’s gone from being the snarling, moody, pasty English defender to a man who looks truly European…
