UNM was always going to be a tough game for the rams, but no-one could’ve predicted this game. After a forgettable first half performance, where DonTrell Moore carried for over a million yards, the Rams came out in the 3rd and proceeded to show the New Mexico Lobo’s why they are in 2nd place and challenging for the MWC title. Trailing 25-12 at halftime, the rams D-# shut down the Lobos’ offense in the second half and converted three New Mexico turnovers into 17 points. Jason Smith, the new kicker, booted three of his four field goals in the second half comeback. CSU’s defense held New Mexico to minus-7 yards in the third quarter and 47 total yards in the second half…
Not bad - end result, CSU 35, UNM 25. Bring on the Frogs for the title!

Once again, the mighty green and gold rolled over the poor, some might say, pathetic, Wyoming Cowgirls on Saturday. Corey Bramlet, the poor excuse of a QB for the Cowgirls should have pulled on a gold jersey and shown his true colors - he was that bad… How many turnovers, fumbles and INTs can a player give out - and still keep his starting job?
Guess that shows us all how poor the Cowgirls backup players are. So, the fabled bronze boot remains in it’s rightful home, the Cowgirl fans can bitch about what could have been, what should have been, and how next year, yes, next year, it will all be good in Laramie… Right on Cowgirls, keep dreaming.
So here we are, 4-3 for the season and 3-1 in the MWC… Not too bad. Couple more wins and we’ll be bowling in December!

What’s with the Rams and away games this year? No sooner do we look like we may have a half-decent season and at least challenge for the MWC crown, than we go and wave the white flags against the hapless Cougars. BYU are not a good team, and losing to them 24-14 is not acceptable. Having watched the game though, I think the 10 point win wasn’t a true reflection of the game, they were winning 17-0 for quite a while, but a stirring 3rd Qtr comeback brought to within 3… Then a nice long drive by the Cougars pretty much ended the game for Holland & co. Oh well, it’s the Border war up next, I’m sure this will be an exciting battle, the Cowgirls were claiming the MWC title 2 weeks ago, but it’s funny how to straight losses can dent that hope… Lets hope we make it 3 for them.

With memories of a rather tragic Marcus Houston fumble still fresh, although it was 2 years ago, the Utah Utes came into Fort Collins thinking the Rams would roll over a 3rd time… I guess the Rams D# (thats a fence symbol…) decided enough was enough and someway, somehow, came up with a way to thwart the useless Utes on the 1 yard line with 28 seconds to go.
The crowd was not only the largest for a CSU home game, it was also the loudest, I swear, I was tone deaf going home, however, I cared not one bit, as the Rams are now 3-0 at home and rocking and rolling on their way to become Conference champions. I’m proabably getting rather ahead of myself there, but what the hell, we beat Utah, ranked 4 last year, at home, after trailing for pretty much all of the game… Yeah, I’m a happy R.A.M fan today…
Can’t wait until those sorry assed Pokes come into town and we cream them - Again!

With the whole world watching, or at least, a couple of hundred on ESPN2, the CSU Rams stomped, and I do mean stomped all over the flightless falcons from the Air Force Academy last night. Within minutes of the opening bell, the Rams had 2 fumble recoveries in the bag, but alas, zero points on the board.
I think the fans and Sonny were getting a little worried as missed points early on in a game can come back to haunt you at the end. Not last night though, the Rams defence put up some big plays and blocked their hearts out, whilst the offense rushed and ran all night, with a couple of nice throws in the middle to keep the Falcons on the backfoot. End result, CSU Rams 41, AF Falcons 23. Bring on the Christians!
